The Rice Hut

Our Rice Hut is styled after the small barns used in Northern Thailand to store harvested rice .

The Rice Hut is small and cozy, built mostly of teak, with teak floors, thatch roof and a traditional sliding wooden window on the front. The hut has a ceiling fan and contains a queen size bed and some small teak shelves. The western style ensuite toilet is finished with hand-glazed tile walls, glass bricks, and has a gas hot water heater for the shower so there is lots of hot water on a chilly Soppong morning. At the entrance, there is a screened-in verandah finished with terra cotta tiles and rattan table, chairs, and a standing lamp. If you like some quite and privacy, we can serve you drinks and breakfast right on your verandah. The Rice Hut is at the top of our property, away from the river and all by itself–not near any other rooms, with an adjacent parking space. Rental rate is 500 baht/night, or 3000 baht/week (the last night of a one week rental is free). To book, please send us an email message by clicking here.
