"Baan" means "house" in Thai, and that is exactly what The Baan is. Built in traditional northern Thai style, The Baan is constructed entirely of teak and raised on columns. There is an elevated entry porch outside, with some wicker chairs and a writing desk. Inside is one large room with one queen size bed and one twin bed. There is also a comfortable wicker sofa and chairs, along with a coffe table. We have also included a refrigerator, coffee/tea service, as well as a television with DVD player with free use of our extensive DVD library.

The western bathroom includes gas hot water, an open sky shower, and a handmade ceramic sink set on a granite counter. The Baan has a private entrance and is located at the upper corner of our property. The rate is 1000 baht/night or 6000 baht/week. Although not directly on the river, The Baan offers space and privacy, along with a just a touch of luxury, while allowing you the feeling of living in a real Northern Thai style teak house. Given the space and sleeping arrangements, it's also very nice for families with children. We have had several guests rent it for longer stays, so we also have a monthly rate for The Baan. As with our daily rate, our monthly rate includes full linens, housekeeping service and of course all utilities.
